Podcast 在教學上的應用，以每月15％的速度成長，有60％的使用者在PC上存取，其他則以iPod、Mac使用。Podcast 不只應用於課堂教學的錄音錄影，也應用於學生繳交作業或專案簡報，已經成為最有效率的教學工具之一。

網站上有許多講解podcast錄製的方法，設備部分只需麥克風、電腦、錄製軟體、以及提供RSS的網站空間，非常便利。學校可以非常容易建置一個自主管理的podcast網站，這也是讓podcast應用普及的原因之一。
