這篇報導中提到 Sematic Wiki，傳統的Wiki是一群人共同創作文件(Document)，而Sematic Wiki則是對文件歸類或搜尋概念的發展。

文中以棒球為例，兩個不同球隊的教練，對於「好的球員」的定義各部相同，因此，會對「好的球員」的定義作不同的設定。因此，Sematic Web則是有別於目前大家以「關鍵字」搜尋資料的行為，依據使用者自己對資料的定義，進行資料搜尋，這項服務將會為大家找到更準確的資料。

目前有「搜尋人」的網站，應該也有採用類似的機制，將茫茫網站的數千萬筆資料，針對「人」的部分找出共通性，並進而歸類，就需要這樣的Sematic Analysis的技術。

期待未來Sematic Wiki的展現，對於知識工作者而言將是另一大福音。

收集有效的資訊

近年來WEB興起，各種資訊、報導，隨手可得。上網找資料已經成為「全民運動」的境界，大家以為，全球的資訊全在一個CLICK之間可以取得，就連小朋友作作業，查生字，查成語，全部都用網路來解決。

網路資訊的便利，也讓人隱憂，曾有人研究發現，目前台灣小學生利用網路收集資訊，已是普遍現象，而這其中的隱憂是，網路資訊的可信度其實是很低的，而小學生又無法判讀資訊的正確性，或是獲得的資訊僅是片面，當人們以為拿到的片面資訊是完整的，反而會造成「以訛傳訛」、「自以為是」的問題。

今天，在公司上了一門「商情資料收集」的課程，這才徹底瞭解，什麼是「有效的資料」。

在工作中，常會受到老闆的指示，要求我們收集相關技術發展或市場資訊，第一個想到的都是GOOGLE，可是，GOOGLE的資料，是大家都找的到的，而且，如前所述，正確性？準確性？卻不是GOOGLE所能掌握的。

要收集有效的資料，還是要透過各家商情資料庫，這部分國外就有很多，而國內呢，則有中時電子報、聯合知識庫、天下知識庫、拓墣產研提供。這些都是屬於比較專業的資料庫。也有比較生活相關的資訊，如國民所得的統計、物價統計等等，則可以透過行政院主計處的網站取得。

你看，這些的資料是不是比茫茫網路大海中的資料，要來的有根據了呢？

此外，資料收集的方法，最重要的是擬定「檢索策略」，除了要設定問題之外，如何找出「檢索關鍵字」，甚而列出各種「檢索策略」，這才是最困難的。但是，這才是資料收集能力養成的重要關鍵，而且，這個部分，絕對是「熟能生巧」的一項技能，需要師傅帶領。

在我看到的小學生教科書中，有說明收集資料的方法有，上圖書館、網路、詢問長輩等等，但是，小朋友並不知道要如何「問問題」「找資料」，如果老師可以利用綜合課程，帶領小朋友找出有興趣主題的資訊，善用圖書館提供的管道，讓小朋友從小就知道如何利用有效資訊作整理，則更有意義。

好讀書搜尋引擎

這個網站很有趣，只提供書籍的搜尋，並介紹該書可買的網路商店，對使用者來講，真的很方便。買書時，我們常常利用GOOGLE找書的資訊，但卻又很難限定「賣書」資訊，這個網站不但幫我們把銷售管道找出來了，還列了價格，真的太方便了。


我想，如果能有一個類似的網站，將我想要上課的資料列出來，方便我瞭解時間以及費用，那該多好！

學術資料搜尋工具

幾天前，同事告訴我，用Google 學術搜尋，很方便好用。

Vertical Search

這兩年因為Google的成功，搜尋引擎的話題再度成為話題。然而，雖然Google很專注的做好搜尋引擎的角色與工作，貼心的讓使用者再不受干擾，又能很快速的找到有價值的資訊，大家還是會對Google的搜尋結果發出疑問，「這麼多要怎麼看？」

現在有了新的技術「Vertical Search」，他是一種主題式的搜尋功能。例如，目前在美國有搜尋工作的工具，如 Indeed.com, Linkedln.com, SimplyHired.com，Indeed.com更將求才者與線上學習服務，整合提供，讓服務更多元。還有專門搜尋 RSS 或 Blog 的服務，如 Technorati , 以及 Google Blog Search。另外，Google 也提供 Google Uncle Sam 的搜尋服務，搜尋範圍為美國政府單位，所以，你若輸入勞工(labor)，會出現美國勞工局的網站，以及相關政府措施等資訊。

有別於一般搜尋網站著重於搜尋面的「廣」，Vertical Search的重點在於搜尋面的「深」與「準確」，也就是說，一個網站中會有五花八門的內容出現。誠如我在 PUSH TECHNOLOGY 那篇文章中所說，因為某一個BLOG中有提到關注焦點的文章，訂閱了之後，所有不相關的文章都倒進來了。這時，我才發現Google Blog不提供「目錄」功能的好處，就是會讓你的主題FOCUS。

所以，網站內容的indexing，必需是與文章相連結，而不是網站，這將會使搜尋的資料庫更加龐大與複雜。目前除了Google及Yahoo之外，Looksmart, KnowlegeStorm, GlobalSpec 提供的專業文章，Topix.com提供的新聞分類，都著手於如何將網站資訊進行indexing的同時，建立專業或相關性的連結。讓使用者在搜尋時，可以將搜尋重心放在某個領域中，找到的資料可以更精準。

看來搜尋技術還會再持續發燒下去，尤其在現在全民作家的年代，每天產出的資訊量越龐大，搜尋的市場需求也將會持續。
